PayMaster^TM is a powerful and flexible payroll and human resource application developed by Tiwai Memory Masters (TMM) specifically for the West African environment. It is designed to run on the Microsoft Windows operating system.

Since its debut in 2001, PayMaster^TM has provided many organisations with an easy and cost-effective solution to managing their payroll and human resources.

It includes the following features:

• Provision for over 2,000 employees
• User-defined job grades and salary scales
• Captures and stores employee photographs and prints ID cards
• Unlimited number of user-defined allowances, earnings and deductions
• User-definable formula calculation for overtime payments
• Multiple levels of analysis, by Branch, Location and Department
• NASSIT contribution and PAYE tax and reporting requirements built-in
• User-definable tax rules, and the ability to assign different tax rules to different pay elements
• Automatically generates payroll journal for posting to your general ledger
• Generates pay slips and several standard payroll reports
• Handles staff loans and deductions automatically
• Tracks staff medical expenses
• Tracks staff leave taken
• Calculates terminal benefits, allowing user-definable rules for calculation
• Maintains payroll history
• Multi-level user access security
• All reports can be exported to Microsoft Excel
• PayMaster^TM can be designed to seamlessly integrate with any accounting system. It can automatically produce a payroll journal for posting into the accounting system, or it can be designed to automatically export the payroll information for importing into the accounting system.

Why PayMaster™?

A key concern in the purchase of business software is the availability of local maintenance and support. PayMaster™ was written in Sierra Leone and is supported by software developers resident at Tiwai Memory Masters. TMM provides a full 6 months free maintenance and support arrangement to organizations purchasing the software.

PayMaster™ is flexible and user-configurable, and amendments due to events such as changes in tax tables can easily be made by the user. To summarise, the user configurable features are: 

• User-amendable tax table
• User-definable formula for overtime and shift calculations
• User-definable process options for calculating NASSIT contributions and tax on allowances

PayMaster™ is a cost-effective solution compared to other products currently in the industry. Typically, payroll programs that come as modules of other accounting software do not cater to the needs of the local environment, and are difficult or costly to customize. Systems that do have sufficient functionality with appropriate customization, and are customizable, tend to be very costly.

PayMaster™ is fully Sarbannes-Oxley compliant.

TMM is continually refining and extending PayMaster^TM. Any feature not included can easily be built into the system at client's request.
